Getting to Elba by bus

Milan – Piombino Marittima
For those coming from Milan and surrounding areas, there is a bus service on the Milan-Piombino route and return, departing from the Bus Terminal at the underground station at Lampugnano (Line 1), with intermediate stops at C.so Lodi, Piazzale Corvetto, San Giuliano Milanese, Melegnano, Lodi, Caslapusterlengo and Piacenza.

The service is operated by LINE SpA, and is available during July and August.

Florence – Piombino Marittima
The direct buss connection on the Florence-Piombino Marittima route, which is especially advisable for reaching Elba from the north, on the Milan-Rome railway line. The connection leaves from Santa Maria Novella station in Florence. The bus also picks passengers up from the SITA bus station in via Santa Caterina da Siena, 17.
The bus leaves Florence at 16:00 (working days only)
The bus leaves Piombino at 6:25 (working days only)
During the summer, the service also operates on non-working days.
The cost of tickets is 12.00 Euros one-way.
Tickets can be bought on the bus without an additional fee.
